A Message From Dr. Chrissy Davis, Owner & Founder of Precision Performance Sports Medicine
The Truth Is...
“At Precision Performance Sports Medicine we specialize in keeping Cheerleaders on the sidelines cheering and on the competition floor while optimizing their performance and reducing time off from their sport.”
It’s overwhelming to try to make a decision with all these choices…what will happen if you don’t make the right one?
Most people get stuck trying to make a decision about what to do next. They go days, weeks, months (even years!) without taking action.
When It Comes To Solving Something Serious Like Cheerleading Injuries…
You must choose the right provider for your health. If you don’t, you could end up cheering in pain for no reason or worse, you could end up getting dangerous surgery (when it was unnecessary) or being dependent on addicting painkillers the rest of your life.
Getting the “least-invasive”, most natural treatment is VITAL to you stopping your pain and keeping it from ever coming back. Additionally, addressing the root cause will allow you to be a stronger and more resilient cheerleader!
To do that, you have to not just treat the pain, but have a provider who is willing to figure out WHY the pain happened in the first place. That’s when you’ll get a PERMANENT solution to your problems.
At Precision Performance Sports Medicine we’ve created a 3 step process to get rid of your pain AND make sure it doesn’t come back again.
Step #1 - We Want To Listen To Your Story
Our medical system is frustrating. You wait weeks, sometimes months, for an appointment, only to get to talk to the physician for 10 minutes before they have to run to the next patient and you’re left sitting there wondering, “What just happened?”
Even most physical therapy clinics operate this way. They’re not attentive, they’re fast-paced, and your therapist doesn’t have time to actually touch where you hurt.
This is why our first step is to listen to your story.
After working with lots of cheerleaders with injuries from back pain to ankle sprains, we know that no two cheerleaders are alike. Each cheerleader has a different body, a different history, and different types of pain.
That is why our first step is to have an open conversation and time for you to tell your story. That way we get a deep understanding of what’s going on not just with your body, but also how it’s impacting your life and the activities you love.
Step #2 - Find Out WHY The Pain Started
Many people have a diagnosis, or medical term for what’s going on with their body. Maybe their physician gave it to them, maybe tests showed the diagnosis, or maybe you found it online.
You could have been told that your only choices were to rest, push through it, take some anti-inflammatories, or change up your training.
Sometimes, those things bring temporary relief, but they’re not addressing what CAUSED the problem in the first place.
Every person’s cause of pain is different. No one has the exact same problem caused by the exact same thing as another person. Most pain is a by-product of a movement or activity issue, which requires a movement solution.
Our goal at Precision Performance Sports Medicine is to find that original cause of your pain, so not only does your pain go away, it STAYS AWAY! And once the pain is gone, we work with you to address those skills and techniques you struggle with to make you a stronger cheerleader overall!
We understand that you still might be skeptical or unsure if physical therapy is right for you or will help. That’s why we created a taster session.
Our Discovery Sessions are meant specifically for cheerleaders who are skeptical, unsure, or have even been let down in the past. During the Discovery Session you’ll find out what’s wrong with our Functional Cheerleader Assessment, how long it’s going to take to fix it, and give you peace of mind that your problem can be fixed naturally!
Step #3 - Get Rid Of The Pain & Keep It From Coming Back
This is when the big transformation occurs. We develop a personalized plan that allows you to…
…get back to cheerleading without fear of the pain and stiffness coming back.
…be able to apply your coach’s corrections easier.
…perform at your best and keep pushing yourself to do better.
…nail down those skills and techniques you’ve struggled with for years.
…get back to the pre-injury lifestyle you love.
The Cheerleaders we LOVE to work with are those who are motivated and ready to ELEVATE their cheerleading beyond their wildest dreams – without pushing through the pain! (Even if they feel stuck right now!)
Want to know more about our availability and costs before making any commitment to coming in?
You don’t have to sacrifice the sport you love or limit your cheer potential over problems that can be fixed.

What Other People Just Like You Are Saying About Precision Performance Sports in Northwest Suburbs Of Chicago...
"I have been in physical therapy more than I would like to admit due to sports-related injuries and surgeries. Having worked with many different PT professionals during my time as an athlete - from high school through college and competing after college - I can say with assurance that Dr. Chrissy is one of the best out there. Her anatomical expertise, wide range of therapies, whole body approach, and sincere attention and support - all are truly exceptional and I could not be more fortunate to have found her. She has been instrumental in keeping my body healthy. Thank you Dr. Chrissy!"
"If driving 40 miles one way for my daughter to be treated by Dr. Chrissy Davis doesn’t explain how much we love her, I don’t know what will. My daughter, Ella, is a gymnast who has had her fair share of injuries over the years. And as any parent of a gymnast knows, is that even after our gymnasts have healed from an injury, there is usually some permanent damage we can’t see (both mentally and physically).
In the fall of 2019, Ella injured her ankle to the point where she had to take an extended break from the sport she loves.
